Abstract

Sagliker syndrome is a rare but severe complication of uncontrolled secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), most often occurring in individuals receiving long-term dialysis. First described by Yahya Sagliker, the syndrome represents an extreme form of renal osteodystrophy characterized by progressive craniofacial deformity, skeletal destruction and significant functional impairment.
